Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfredo Tofani kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Carlucci in the 4th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Romeu Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Juventus F.C. booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Juventus F.C. were awarded a corner. Angelo Carlucci went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Angelo Carlucci almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Várzea F.C.'s Romeu Batista did a great save. 9 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Tofani came free, but Romeu Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro Duarte was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Várzea F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 17 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Duarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ettore Puglielli. Juventus F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdomiro Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Juventus F.C.'s Ettore Puglielli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Juventus F.C. from getting a goal against them. Romeu Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Festa in the 23rd minute of the match. Alessandro Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Puglielli having to interfere. Bruninho Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruninho Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Juventus F.C.'s Ettore Puglielli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Arósio in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Celso Secco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ettore Puglielli skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Valdomiro Duarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ettore Puglielli made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Alessandro Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Duarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ettore Puglielli. Juventus F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdomiro Duarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Valdomiro Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Alessandro Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alessandro Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Emiliano Cavaliere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Cavaliere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Várzea F.C.'s Romeu Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Cavaliere in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Várzea F.C. had won after a very even match.
