Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Catarino Vilela took the kick off in the first half of the match. Flavio Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Valadão in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Catarino Vilela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Flavio Nuñez. Catarino Vilela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nuno Candeias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Henrico in the 20th minute of the match. Cláudio Leite hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute MEXACOMX were awarded a corner. Alexandrino Junqueira went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cláudio Leite got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Nuñez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Estudiantes de América's Flavio Nuñez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de América from getting a goal against them. Roque Henrico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Candeias having to interfere. Lucas Mexa hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Bernardo Quiroga kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Gustavo Bautista hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Maurício Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Bautista in the 47th minute of play forced MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Nuno Candeias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Estudiantes de América's Octavio Bitxintxo was substituted for Isaias Caetano. Estudiantes de América's Gustavo Bautista got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Vilela came free, but Flavio Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Bitxintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nuno Candeias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Flavio Nuñez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustavo Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Candeias having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, João Valadão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Nuñez. Estudiantes de América's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Valadão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 79 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Meireles came free, but Flavio Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Meireles in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, MEXACOMX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belchior Conde to maneuver through the defense. If Gustavo Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Roque Henrico took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Nuno Candeias to make any attempt to save it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MEXACOMX had played much better football throughout.
