Juan-Carlos Gonzalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernst Herinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Ernst Herinckx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan-Carlos Gonzalo. Atlético Bucaramanga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernst Herinckx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Ernst Herinckx elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Elixio Garros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Constantijn Bracke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jochen De Muysere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sherman Cardenas's late challenge caught a Minion Mim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sherman Cardenas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Sherman Cardenas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernst Herinckx kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan-Carlos Gonzalo. That made the score 4-1 in the 24 minute of play. In the 29th minute, Ernst Herinckx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Minion Mim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Constantijn Bracke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elixio Garros in the 32nd minute of play. Ernst Herinckx might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan-Carlos Gonzalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernst Herinckx ran back to his position shaking his head. Constantijn Bracke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elixio Garros, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Minion Mim's goal looked a bit too open when Elixio Garros came free, but Constantijn Bracke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Bucaramanga booed when Minion Mim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Herinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Bucaramanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sherman Cardenas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 played minutes Minion Mim got a freekick which was hit by Louis-Philippe Van Hallebeeck. When Sherman Cardenas came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Atlético Bucaramanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sherman Cardenas couldn't finish the play. Sherman Cardenas got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Juan-Carlos Gonzalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernst Herinckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weterio Caceos short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Constantijn Bracke to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Constantijn Bracke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Weterio Caceo in the 87th minute. Anthoon Van Meensel kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
