Wágner Fox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cătălin Dăianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC GURZUN booed when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Wágner Fox made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Finteșteanu got free with Valdemar Quadros in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Fox in the 41st minute of play forced FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Cătălin Dăianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Dantas. The long shot by Francisc Onea in the 44th minute really tested Valdemar Quadros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wágner Fox was the one to do the kick off. After 86 minutes of play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Raimundo Coutinho made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. FC GURZUN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Cristiano de Moraes scored to the left of an out of position Cătălin Dăianu, making the score, 2-4. Wágner Fox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cristinel Trapcea fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC GURZUN's protests and gave Cristinel Trapcea a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC GURZUN's Cristinel Trapcea got a free kick in the 94th minute.
