Bob Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Ciapponi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Ciapponi in the 9th minute of play forced USS Enterprise's goalkeeper Bob Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bob Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Ciapponi in the 12th minute of play. USS Enterprise were furious when Lutz Nassau-Weilburg was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Donny Behr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Bachmayer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Corrado Cipriani having to make a save. After 33 played minutes USS Enterprise got a freekick which was hit by Rudolph Baumgartl.
