Gavino Luke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baldomiro Oliverios came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jacinto Nuxila could save by the left post. In the 14th minute Casimiro Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Pes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Oliverios got free with Jacinto Nuxila in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto Nuxila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomiro Oliverios in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Ildefonso Ortle reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacinto Nuxila. The supporters of Almeyra F.C. booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Pes in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomiro Oliverios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Natal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Gavino Luke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fulgencio Natals short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Gavino Luke to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 56 minutes into the game, Casimiro Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaviotas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almeyra F.C. the free kick. In the 56th minute, Casimiro Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Almeyra F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Celedonio Xabat hit a great ball. Fulgencio Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Luke having to interfere. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Anastasio Arce replaced Sebastian Gimenez. Jacinto Nuxila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Ursino in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Ursino in the 70th minute of play forced Almeyra F.C.'s goalkeeper Jacinto Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Almeyra F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Remir to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Rodolfo Ursino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Luke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danilo Remir went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Fulgencio Natal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gavino Luke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Baldomiro Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Gaviotas FC from getting a goal against them. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Almeyra F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
