Bjørn Mæhlum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Phoenix in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute Joaquin Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjørn Mæhlum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Phoenix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjørn Mæhlum having to interfere. Bjørn Mæhlum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luke Abdilla in the 14th minute. Saga TF's Bjørn Mæhlum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Saga TF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Ødegården didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Luke Abdilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luke Abdilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bjørn Mæhlum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bjørn Mæhlum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Phoenix went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute, Templars FC's Joaquin Phoenix ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bjørn Mæhlum. Bjørn Mæhlum yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 40th minute Luke Abdilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjørn Mæhlum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Templars FC's Lawrence Gonzi suffered a sore foot after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 40 minutes, Kenneth Eriksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saga TF and the Templars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Templars FC's Austin Gatt was substituted for Lawrence Gonzi. In the 75th minute, Martin Manicolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Templars FC made a substitution. Gabriel Lentini replaced Steve DeGaetano. After 76 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Manicolo. After 78 minutes, Jan-Aage Nyvoll mouthed his way into the referee's book. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joaquin Phoenix scored 7-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bjørn Mæhlum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd match minute, Saga TF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl-Rune Johanson to maneuver through the defense. Bjørn Mæhlum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Buontempo in the 96th minute of the match. Templars FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
