Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Abeita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Peli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. The crowd rose to their feet as Astillero del Guayas's Ulizes Sola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marco Peli. That made the score 0-12 after 82 minutes of play. 87 minutes into the match, Ulizes Sola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Peli. The Candelaria FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Astillero del Guayas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
