The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Victor de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flying Dutch's protests and gave Victor de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sävedalen booed when Flying Dutch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafa Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Forssell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arthur Amorim firmly grabbed it by the left post. If João Adolfo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Johannes Forssell's late challenge caught a Flying Dutch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Forssell helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when Sävedalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Åkesson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Victor de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Åkesson having to interfere. Johannes Forssell struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Arthur Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sävedalen. In the 35th minute, Victor de Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flying Dutch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Arne Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Arne Åkesson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niceto Xacintu went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 47th match minute, Flying Dutch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulrik Gudmundsson to make the kick off. Arne Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Niceto Xacintu sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's Victor de Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Åkesson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arne Åkesson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Xacintu in the 59th minute. If Niceto Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor de Salles struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Arne Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Victor de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sävedalen's goalkeeper Arne Åkesson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute Flying Dutch were awarded a corner. Eurico Batista went to the cornerflag to take it. 79 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goal looked a bit too open when Victor de Salles came free, but Arne Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arne Åkesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arne Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Capixaba in the 83rd minute of play. Niceto Xacintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Åkesson having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Niceto Xacintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flying Dutch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Xacintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Victor de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flying Dutch's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
