Ruperto Ufret's late challenge caught a Sävedalen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Ufret helped the player get up and apologised. Sävedalen's Erik Bokelund was substituted for Johannes Forssell. Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Gudmundsson in the 78th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zarando Eguizabal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arne Åkesson. That made the score 0-4 in the 80 minute of play. Henric Lundgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Walter Huarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
