Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Isadore in the 66th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Froilan Isadore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walter Huarte was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the game, Cosme Montay threw the ball into play from the sideline.
