Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stefan Fikus made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the game, Jonathan Svensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oakcroft Thrashers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Catalonia the free kick. After 2 played minutes Oakcroft Thrashers got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Svensson. Wlodzimierz Raszek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Mårten Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Dan Wassenius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, FC Catalonia's goalkeeper Edgar Rzeszutko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Svensson. FC Catalonia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Stefan Asmundsson scored to the left of an out of position Edgar Rzeszutko, making the score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Fikus came free, but Mårten Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mårten Nordström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Fikus went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Xavi Simmons fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Catalonia's protests and gave Xavi Simmons a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes FC Catalonia got a freekick which was hit by Xavi Simmons. With his leg Edgar Rzeszutko managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Oakcroft Thrashers's Jonathan Svensson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 25 minutes FC Catalonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stefan Asmundsson who took care of the corner kick. Carl Apelqvist made a great header on Oakcroft Thrashers's corner, it was just that FC Catalonia's Edgar Rzeszutko managed to reach the ball for a save. Mårten Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Raszek in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Catalonia's Leon Trela got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Wassenius in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Catalonia's goalkeeper Edgar Rzeszutko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Asmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Edgar Rzeszutko made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Stefan Asmundsson sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the game, Stefan Fikus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mårten Nordström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Wlodzimierz Raszek made a precise shot to the right of Mårten Nordström. Oakcroft Thrashers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. FC Catalonia's Gilbert Betonowy got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Fikus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mårten Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Fikus, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Svensson was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Rzeszutko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Wassenius went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Stefan Fikus took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mårten Nordström. Mårten Nordström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Edgar Rzeszutko didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Oakcroft Thrashers's Jonathan Svensson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-4 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to Oakcroft Thrashers getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sakarias Norberg hit a great ball. Stefan Fikus took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mårten Nordström. Mårten Nordström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. Edgar Rzeszutko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Svensson in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Stefan Fikus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leon Trela hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Oakcroft Thrashers got a freekick which was hit by Carl Apelqvist. Czeslaw Piczak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goalkeeper Mårten Nordström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Fikus. Jonathan Svensson struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Edgar Rzeszutko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakcroft Thrashers. After 87 played minutes FC Catalonia got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Kowalski. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Catalonia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
