An unexpectedly hard shot by Juraj Šesták in the 10th minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matej Tásler scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Virgil Olariu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Virgil Olariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Markovič in the 17th minute of play. Teodor Chirilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juraj Šesták in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matej Tásler in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgil Olariu prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matej Tásler to make the kick off.
