Spectators: 7534 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hugo Sánchez took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Teodor Cornea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos Kiliz made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Teodor Cornea sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Nicolae Papuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Perju in the 20th minute of play. FC Truseni's Sandu Perju got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. GUSESI's Santos Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Pãduret in the 30th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, FC Truseni's George Pãduret made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santos Kiliz was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Pãduret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, GUSESI's Santos Kiliz got control of the ball when Mircea Dadu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Truseni's Leonid Nazaria slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santos Kiliz. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. Vadim Speianu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Santos Kiliz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodor Cornea in the 46th minute. Teodor Cornea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Santos Kiliz made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodor Cornea to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Truseni's George Pãduret got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Teodor Cornea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Truseni's Radu Briceag was substituted for Tudor Buga. After 66 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Ekhi. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Cornea in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, FC Truseni's George Pãduret nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Kiliz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The audience was convinced that George Pãduret's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santos Kiliz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Santos Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Pãduret in the 74th minute of play. When FC Truseni's Teodor Cornea in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GUSESI's goalie prevented a goal. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Cornea in the 78th minute of the match. If Leonid Nazaria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santos Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Cornea, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Leonid Nazaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Santos Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, GUSESI's Hugo Sánchez got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Cornea came free, but Santos Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leonid Nazaria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Truseni had played much better football throughout.
