Spectators: 7462 (Terracing: 5597, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Montesclarense E.C.'s Pedrão Hoffmann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Jacinto Urbez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GUSESI and the Montesclarense E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fellipe dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Kiliz having to interfere. Fellipe dos Santos hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Montesclarense E.C. got a corner. GUSESI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Lucas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Montesclarense E.C.'s Guilherme Marinho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Orlando Dante was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Dieter Muller capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dieter Muller really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 25th minute, Dieter Muller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 31st minute Hugo Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ricardo Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Kiliz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GUSESI's Santos Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão Hoffmann in the 36th minute of play. Durval Tinoco was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Montesclarense E.C.! After 42 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe dos Santos. Montesclarense E.C.'s Fellipe dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusébio Ramalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Kiliz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Hugo Sánchez made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Dorian Lopez could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Santos Kiliz however easily saved by the left post. Eusébio Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, GUSESI's Santos Kiliz got control of the ball when Fellipe dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorian Lopezs short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Santos Kiliz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Fellipe dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Dorian Lopez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Santos Kiliz. That made the score 2-1 in the 59 minute of play. Dorian Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Kiliz having to interfere. Santos Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Montesclarense E.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ricardo Lucas in the 66th minute. Dorian Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Kiliz having to interfere. Montesclarense E.C. were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after GUSESI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardo Lucas took the corner. Montesclarense E.C.'s Ricardo Lucas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santos Kiliz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, GUSESI's Santos Kiliz got control of the ball when Dorian Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Francis Dukaj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GUSESI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montesclarense E.C. the free kick. Montesclarense E.C.'s Dorian Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Lopez came free, but Santos Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Francis Dukaj fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GUSESI's protests and gave Francis Dukaj a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francis Dukaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Montesclarense E.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
