Lobo Guará's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquadrão Lusitano the free kick. Esquadrão Lusitano's Sidónio Pereira was substituted for Valdo Passos. Esquadrão Lusitano were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Lobo Guará's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tạ Bom took the corner. 32 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Cigaran came free, but Vânderson Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
