In the 10th minute Rigoberto Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perivaldo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Mikelar in the 25th minute of play. Gino Abreu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Evaristo Arósio's late challenge caught a Quebracho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Quebracho FC booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cris Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute Romeo Carlomagno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
