The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Tiki Taka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betadur Abastas should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Abellaneda in the 12th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Hilario Ubendu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiki Taka FC's Mauro Abellaneda got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Tiki Taka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nastasio Abeitia to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Tiki Taka FC's Ildephonso Abeijon got a free kick in the 19th minute. Tiki Taka FC's Betadur Abastas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Odilon in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Abellaneda came free, but Hilario Ubendu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Gimnasia y tiro booed when Tiki Taka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eguzki Abeijon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 played minutes, Tiki Taka FC's Nastasio Abeitia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hilario Ubendu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tiki Taka FC reached it. After 41 minutes Tiki Taka FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Segundo Berart who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Gimnasia y tiro's Gavino Odilon to fire away a dangerous shot which Betadur Abastas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 41 minutes, Gavino Odilon made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tiki Taka FC's Betadur Abastas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Tiki Taka FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gimnasia y tiro were winning 0-2.
52 minutes into the match, Tiki Taka FC's Mauro Abellaneda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Ubendu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y tiro's zone, Donato Abenda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Ubendu came out of the goal and Donato Abenda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 minutes of play Gimnasia y tiro's Epifanio Innocenzio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Epifanio Innocenzio kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Gimnasia y tiro's Hilario Ubendu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eguzki Abeijon in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Martxot to maneuver through the defense. Derwin Abendano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Abellaneda came free, but Hilario Ubendu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Derwin Abendano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Ubendu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
