Martin Dahlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Froilan Unai made a huge save. When Bo Sillén came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Lite Finare Lite Bättre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Sillén couldn't finish the play. After 8 minutes, Enrique Sagrario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manfredi AFC and the Lite Finare Lite Bättre players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Manfredi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Sagrario to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Sagrario was shown his second yellow card after 10 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's Magnus Hedman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Benitez in the 15th minute of play. Ciro Efren hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lite Finare Lite Bättre booed when Manfredi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Benitez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Efren got a throw-in 22 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gregorio Tiadoro. After 31 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Efren. When Gunnar Bergstedt fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lite Finare Lite Bättre's protests and gave Gunnar Bergstedt a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Dalmau in the 36th minute of play forced Lite Finare Lite Bättre's goalkeeper Magnus Hedman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Froilan Unai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Dahlin in the 42nd minute. Gregorio Tiadoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Hedman having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Benitez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Dahlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Unai having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Jax. Jacinto Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Magnus Hedman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Dahlin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Froilan Unai having to make a save. Jacinto Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Hedman having to interfere. Froilan Unai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Dahlin went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Manfredi AFC's zone, Martin Dahlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Unai came out of the goal and Martin Dahlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Dahlin took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Unai. Froilan Unai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Martin Dahlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Efren got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gregorio Tiadoro. 94 minutes into the match, Martin Dahlin notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Manfredi AFC's Froilan Unai. Froilan Unai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lite Finare Lite Bättre had played much better football throughout.
