Spectators: 7526 (Terracing: 5645, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zuri Megia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fe Lizaur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reynaldo Sabin during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Reynaldo Sabin got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Jairo Patiño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penuel Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Patiño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zuri Megia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge-Luis Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zuri Megia having to interfere. With his leg Zuri Megia managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Penuel Football Club's Jorge-Luis Borges fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Zuri Megia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Patiño in the 31st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Macnelly Torres in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zuri Megia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zuri Megia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Patiño, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Jorge-Luis Borges put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zuri Megia. Zuri Megia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Macnelly Torres in the 80th minute of the match. Penuel Football Club's Piorno Bazarra got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Zuri Megia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge-Luis Borges in the 82nd minute of play. Penuel Football Club's Jorge-Luis Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Zuri Megia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piorno Bazarra in the 89th minute of play. Jairo Formerio charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Formerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Jairo Formerio got a free kick in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Piorno Bazarra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zuri Megia was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Jorge-Luis Borges succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. When the referee ended the match the Penuel Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
