Spectators: 7645 (Terracing: 5735, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jorge-Luis Borges made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías Almeyda during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Penuel Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeyda to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov got control of the ball when Jorge-Luis Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match Penuel Football Club got a corner. Legia Stavanger's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaston Mielgo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Penuel Football Club's Gaston Mielgo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Slavcho Kanov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 14th minute, Penuel Football Club's Macnelly Torres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Slavcho Kanov. Slavcho Kanov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jairo Patiño did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Slavcho Kanov 18 minutes into the match. Fe Lizaur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gjermund Viste in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Lillegård in the 22nd minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Fe Lizaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fe Lizaur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gjermund Viste's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Lillegård came free, but Fe Lizaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Patiño received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Slavcho Kanov came out and tried to block the shot, but Jairo Patiño slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 26th minute. Matías Almeyda was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Matías Almeyda hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Penuel Football Club made a substitution. Danel Ayllon replaced Jairo Patiño. Matías Almeyda kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Lillegård in the 33rd minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Fe Lizaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Macnelly Torres came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Penuel Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Macnelly Torres couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Trygve Stormoen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slavcho Kanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge-Luis Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Macnelly Torres could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Slavcho Kanov however easily saved by the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gjermund Viste to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Legia Stavanger's Trygve Stormoen got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Gjermund Viste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gjermund Viste in the 58th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Fe Lizaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demarcus Andersen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Fe Lizaur when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Slavcho Kanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge-Luis Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Legia Stavanger's Trygve Stormoen got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Penuel Football Club's Ambrosio Descarrega was substituted for Gaston Mielgo. 78 minutes into the match, Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Fe Lizaur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trygve Stormoen. If Trygve Stormoen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, Danel Ayllon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penuel Football Club and the Legia Stavanger players grew even worse after the yellow card. Danel Ayllon hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Penuel Football Club's Fe Lizaur got control of the ball when Mats Lillegård tried to sneak it across the goal line. Penuel Football Club's Fe Lizaur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Penuel Football Club from getting a goal against them. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macnelly Torres in the 88th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Legia Stavanger got a freekick which was hit by Trygve Stormoen. When Trygve Stormoen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Legia Stavanger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trygve Stormoen couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Gjermund Viste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fe Lizaur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Penuel Football Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
