Stefan Orlicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute of the match Tigre got a corner. Premier FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Sal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Guillermo Sal made a great header on Tigre's corner, it was just that Premier FC's Zé Paulo Bezerra managed to reach the ball for a save. 16 minutes into the match, Tigre's Masao Koriotto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Paulo Bezerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Masao Koriotto in the 42nd minute of play forced Premier FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Lore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Masao Koriotto in the 46th minute of play forced Premier FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Masao Koriotto took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Paulo Bezerra. Zé Paulo Bezerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Afonsinho Paiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stefan Orlicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Tigre booed when Premier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Masao Koriotto sped through Premier FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Bezerra. Masao Koriotto scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Paulo Bezerra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Premier FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Bezerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnaldo Lore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 minutes of play, Tigre's Saverio Perpinya made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo Bezerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zé Paulo Bezerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Lore's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Aílton de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Stefan Orlicki made a huge save. Pedro Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Dadá da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Orlicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Masao Koriotto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tigre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Masao Koriotto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tigre getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Juan Teofilio hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Perpinya. In the 89th minute, Saverio Perpinya made a precise shot to the right of Zé Paulo Bezerra. Premier FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Arnaldo Lore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Tigre were the better team. Tigre's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
