Piotrek Czerniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Freddie Westerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotrek Czerniak in the 13th minute of play forced Blue avalanche's goalkeeper Freddie Westerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddie Westerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Zurica in the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match, Mohamad Salah tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benigno Sabina saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nykteus Kouches in the 28th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Benigno Sabina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddie Westerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Hellström in the 29th minute of play. Nykteus Kouches charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Calle Hellström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Freddie Westerberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blue avalanche's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bibiano Ferrer was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Boca Juniors's corner Orlondo Buendia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Freddie Westerberg quite easily take care of the ball. In the 73rd minute Spiro Getzov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Sabina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blue avalanche's Freddie Westerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piotrek Czerniak in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piotrek Czerniak in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddie Westerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Benigno Sabina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spiro Getzov in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87thth minute of the game Nykteus Kouches who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Benigno Sabina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Nykteus Kouches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benigno Sabina. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Sabina should have stopped the shot. Benigno Sabina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spiro Getzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute Calle Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piotrek Czerniak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
