To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th match minute, K.F TIRANA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoforo De Luca to maneuver through the defense. When Coronel Durango came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the K.F TIRANA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coronel Durango couldn't finish the play. Mao Zhen Xing kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Branden Shelton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taci Argün's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coronel Durango in the 35th minute of play forced Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Leon Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristoforo De Luca made a kick off. Branden Shelton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taci Argün, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Tadeo Precioso heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Taci Argün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Branden Shelton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Cristoforo De Luca managed to get in a good position for a shot. K.F TIRANA's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristoforo De Luca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 93 minutes of play Club Atlético Magallanes's Abelardo Intxixu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of K.F TIRANA booed when Club Atlético Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Taci Argün made a precise shot to the right of Branden Shelton. K.F TIRANA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
