Hungarian Olympic's János Dala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Unesson in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, György Edelényi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes of play, Honung's Josef Mellin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. János Dala was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hungarian Olympic's János Dala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Mellin in the 17th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game István Császár who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honung's Egon Olsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Josef Mellin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Honung's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 23rd minute, Charlie Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes, Hungarian Olympic's Krisztián Radnai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Egon Olsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungarian Olympic reached it. 27 minutes into the match, Hungarian Olympic's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Mellin came free, but János Dala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Josef Mellin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 31 minutes on the clock, Csaba Joó commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Hungarian Olympic:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emil Unesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. János Dala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When György Király came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hungarian Olympic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that György Király couldn't finish the play. László Nemes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, György Király cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Egon Olsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josef Mellin was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Hungarian Olympic booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Unesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th match minute, Honung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Unesson to maneuver through the defense. After 63 minutes, Josef Mellin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honung and the Hungarian Olympic players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hungarian Olympic booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Mellin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honung's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Krisztián Radnai was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungarian Olympic's players had a chance to rest. Hungarian Olympic's Krisztián Radnai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Egon Olsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gergely Asztalos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Honung fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hungarian Olympic had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
