Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martin Mangion started the match with the kick off. Ernesto Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Mangion, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Jonas Ganix charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Ganix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, CA Trapito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Ganix to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in CA Trapito fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! 20 minutes into the match, CA Trapito's goalkeeper Ernesto Osasun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Savona. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Savona in the 32nd minute of play forced CA Trapito's goalkeeper Ernesto Osasun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sliema Dragons FC booed when CA Trapito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Martin Mangion dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ernesto Osasun, 4-0. Marcelo Severiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Garci in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Romildo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Savona in the 52nd minute of play forced CA Trapito's goalkeeper Ernesto Osasun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Martin Mangion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sliema Dragons FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Leo Scalpello hit a great ball. Ernesto Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Mangion in the 58th minute of play. Ernesto Osasun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Grimaud in the 88th minute of the match. Pedro Calvino scored 6-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Severiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd match minute, CA Trapito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Cresencio to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Borg in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sliema Dragons FC had played much better football throughout.
