The Sliema Dragons FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Sliema Dragons FC's Martin Mangion looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. COURO COME FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emirhan Sultani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Maria Pontes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Savona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 68 minute of play. Emirhan Sultani's late challenge caught a Sliema Dragons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emirhan Sultani helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to COURO COME FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Emirhan Sultani hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes COURO COME FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Rodrigues. 89 minutes into the game, José Pedro da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. COURO COME FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sliema Dragons FC the free kick. After 89 played minutes COURO COME FC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro da Fonseca. Julian Savona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaac Grimaud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but José Maria Pontes made a huge save.
