A collision led to Morris FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Alex Sjöström hit a great ball. Sven-Edvin Britz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Charles Friberger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Edvin Britz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Fredriksson's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Sven-Edvin Britz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Fredriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Mats Back mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morris FC and the spikarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Morris FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Back to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Karl-Åke Dusett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Vilgot Molin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morris FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilgot Molin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles Friberger in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Enström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jonas Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kent Fredriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Fredriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kent Fredriksson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Vidar Bjurström. After a defensive mix-up in Morris FC's zone, Jonas Nordström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Edvin Britz came out of the goal and Jonas Nordström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 minutes, Tommy Strömbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the spikarna and the Morris FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tommy Strömbom kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. If Charles Friberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Friberger was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, spikarna's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Friberger came free, but Samuel Enström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilgot Molin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Kent Fredriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sven-Edvin Britz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Friberger in the 65th minute of play forced spikarna's goalkeeper Samuel Enström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Morris FC's Sven-Edvin Britz got control of the ball when Kent Fredriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Oskar Kellberg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Morris FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oskar Kellberg couldn't finish the play. spikarna's Kent Fredriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Morris FC booed when spikarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Strömbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Enström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Back in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Morris FC's Vilgot Molin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Kent Fredriksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Sven-Edvin Britz made a huge save. spikarna's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
