The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jörn Erserman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Fergus Fairbairn made a huge save. Christopher Björling hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match, Jörn Erserman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fergus Fairbairn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Erserman. After a rather tough play, Blomstermåla BK's Sakarias Melin got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler McCraw in the 27th minute of play forced Blomstermåla BK's goalkeeper Åke Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Sakarias Melin had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Darius Bontine's late challenge caught a Blomstermåla BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darius Bontine helped the player get up and apologised. Blomstermåla BK's Aleksander Ekblom was substituted for Sakarias Melin. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Darius Bontine hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jörn Erserman sped through Rangers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fergus Fairbairn. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Rosen in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Aleksander Ekblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blomstermåla BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksander Ekblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Bergfeldt came free, but Fergus Fairbairn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Darius Bontine hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match, Bengt-Rune Rosen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fergus Fairbairn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Aleksander Ekblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd minute Bengt-Rune Rosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Danny Gilespie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angus Howison in the 57th minute of play forced Blomstermåla BK's goalkeeper Åke Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, Blomstermåla BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Nilsson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Blomstermåla BK's Aleksander Ekblom got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Bradley Carr shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Åke Johnsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 75 played minutes, Rangers FC's Patrick Sporran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Åke Johnsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rangers FC reached it. 76 minutes into the game, Per Botvidsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blomstermåla BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rangers FC the free kick. 78 minutes into the game, Jörn Erserman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fergus Fairbairn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Jörn Erserman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blomstermåla BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Darius Bontine kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Christopher Björling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blomstermåla BK had played much better football throughout.
