A collision led to FC MANLE getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Hamit Aynacıoğlu hit a great ball. Rangers FC's Patrick Sporran shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Şadi Turhan but with some difficulty. Fergus Fairbairn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bahattin Kurhan went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Selami Denizer during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes FC MANLE got a freekick which was hit by Selami Denizer. Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamit Aynacıoğlu in the 40th minute of play. Fergus Fairbairn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamit Aynacıoğlu in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Angus Howison scored 1-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şadi Turhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Hamit Aynacıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC MANLE's Hamit Aynacıoğlu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fergus Fairbairn. That made the score 1-3 after 59 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, FC MANLE's Fergus Fairbairn threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hamit Aynacıoğlu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamit Aynacıoğlu in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fergus Fairbairn saved Rangers FC from getting behind. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by FC MANLE's Bahattin Kurhan. But to his dismay, Bahattin Kurhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Fergus Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamit Aynacıoğlu in the 75th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berk Gürdal during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Berk Gürdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sarp Cangun in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Hamit Aynacıoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC MANLE and the Rangers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fergus Fairbairn was a little too slow when Halil Utku Suerkan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-5. Selami Denizer hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes, Rangers FC's Patrick Sporran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Şadi Turhan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rangers FC reached it. Sarp Cangun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Fergus Fairbairn made a huge save. Halil Utku Suerkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Fergus Fairbairn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC MANLE's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
