The referee ignored Karen FC's protests and gave Oskar Sandell a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Karen FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Oskar Sandell hit a great ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Bon Guidetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bon Guidetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Abreu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Filomeno Dabi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bon Guidetti in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Rey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Leo Öfverman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karen FC's Bon Guidetti got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sacando del Medio's Ernesto Perico got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Leo Öfverman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filomeno Dabi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Norberto Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Bon Guidetti might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Dabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bon Guidetti ran back to his position shaking his head. Bon Guidetti succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Karen FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
