After a rather tough play, RÖK's Anísio Santana got a free kick in the 7th minute. Yan Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nat Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Real Death Ducks's Ronan Marler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Proença in the 21st minute of play. Rachid Baba Ali Mohammadi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Clemente Simões hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Maxi Mus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Yan Pirani made a huge save. After some careless play in the Real Death Ducks defense, Wesley Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronan Marler. The Real Death Ducks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronan Marler should have stopped the shot. Ronan Marler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Varela went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Júlio Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan Marler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronan Marler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Proença in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Real Death Ducks's Kevin Haseldine was substituted for Anthony Cahill. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keanu Sawyer to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Keanu Sawyer in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yan Pirani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ronan Marler made a huge save. 1-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Rachid Baba Ali Mohammadi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Real Death Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Varela came free, but Ronan Marler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Real Death Ducks's Nat Ashby nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yan Pirani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of RÖK booed when Real Death Ducks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. J.J Beckham Jr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronan Marler came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by RÖK's Emílio Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Emílio Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 80 minutes into the match, RÖK's goal looked a bit too open when Rachid Baba Ali Mohammadi came free, but Yan Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes RÖK got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Simões. Hamílton Proença succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. In the 88th minute, Hamílton Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Wesley Sena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 91st minute, RÖK's Virgílio Rodrigues ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronan Marler. Ronan Marler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. In the 94th minute Maxi Mus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgílio Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. If César de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
