Esen Tümkurt was a little too slow when Humberto Velasco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Villa Verde FC made a substitution. Antônio Carlos Madureira replaced Humberto Velasco. Villa Verde FC's Falcão Esteves was substituted for Joel Ramos. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Villa Verde FC fully deserved thier win.
