The score was now 1-0. Humberto Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludomir Jarocewicz having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Afonso Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Villa Verde FC's Mac Dez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luo Zhen Chang in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Vilma Palma getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. David Porfirio hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Vilma Palma's Uriel Lozano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Uriel Lozano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vilma Palma protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Uriel Lozano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 19 minutes into the game, one of Vilma Palma:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vilma Palma:s Ludomir Jarocewicz showed great skill when he stopped Betinho Lira:s penalty. In the 25th minute of the match Villa Verde FC got a corner. Vilma Palma's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Betinho Lira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Betinho Lira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vilma Palma's Ludomir Jarocewicz did a great save. The audience was convinced that Mats Nyman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mac Dez was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. With a little luck, Vilma Palma's Ludomir Jarocewicz got control of the ball when Claudinho Fantini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Afonso Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludomir Jarocewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinho Fantini's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Vilma Palma's Ludomir Jarocewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Fantini in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Fantini in the 42nd minute of play forced Vilma Palma's goalkeeper Ludomir Jarocewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Baiano struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Ludomir Jarocewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Verde FC. After a rather tough play, Villa Verde FC's Claudinho Fantini got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Villa Verde FC's Antônio Carlos Madureira was substituted for Humberto Velasco. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Fantini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Claudinho Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomir Jarocewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Villa Verde FC's Claudinho Fantini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludomir Jarocewicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Claudinho Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Villa Verde FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Fantini couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vilma Palma booed when Villa Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Villa Verde FC were awarded a corner. Betinho Lira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Villa Verde FC's Betinho Lira to fire away a dangerous shot which Ludomir Jarocewicz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vilma Palma's Santiago Frisco was substituted for Mauro Cesario. After some careless play in the Villa Verde FC defense, Santiago Frisco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mac Dez. The Villa Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mac Dez should have stopped the shot. Mac Dez made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Santiago Frisco sent off a good shot on target. In the 98th match minute, Villa Verde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Lira to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vilma Palma players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villa Verde FC.
