The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denílson Arósio during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Denílson Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Vergílio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melquiades Patxi, 1-0. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Zé Augusto Vergílio hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Zé Paulo Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icoara Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélio Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Bide in the 35th minute of play. Celso Inge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Hélio Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rafael Clodio made the kick off in the second half. If Zé Paulo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Aloísio Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Melquiades Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aloísio Eger scored 3-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Patxi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. EL PEPO FC made a substitution. Tomás Satordi replaced Eustacio Loren. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Allan Fernandez got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in EL PEPO FC's zone, Aloísio Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Patxi came out of the goal and Aloísio Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Eger in the 72nd minute of play forced EL PEPO FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zé Augusto Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Zé Roberto Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Leopoldo Fontes hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Zé Augusto Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Aloísio Eger fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Icoara Football Club's protests and gave Aloísio Eger a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, EL PEPO FC's Freddy Camerino got a free kick in the 87th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Icoara Football Club had won after a very even match.
