In the 45th minute Ricardinho Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Ünalmış saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, WKS Śląsk Wrocław's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Catarinense came free, but Volkan Ünalmış reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Luiz Fábio Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After some careless play in the S.C. Corinthians Paulista defense, Barry Kent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fábio Viana. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fábio Viana should have stopped the shot. Barry Kent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fábio Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. WKS Śląsk Wrocław's Volkan Ünalmış proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save WKS Śląsk Wrocław from getting a goal against them. After 89 minutes, Gilbert á Borg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WKS Śląsk Wrocław and the S.C. Corinthians Paulista players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilbert á Borg kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, WKS Śląsk Wrocław's Barry Kent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fábio Viana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliks Orszak in the 94th managed to get into a good position. WKS Śląsk Wrocław's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
