Gualter Cunha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Tião Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Fernandez in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Cesinha Schmidt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fábio Viana. Luiz Fábio Viana yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. A collision led to ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mauro de Queiroz hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Cesinha Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tião Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Nascimento went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Váldson Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Váldson Urbano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fábio Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Goiano in the 46th minute of play forced ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s goalkeeper Tião Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Giovani Travassos was substituted for Gualter Cunha. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Nascimento to make the kick off. Tião Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Giovani Travassos scored 4-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fábio Viana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When S.C. During the 90th minute of the match Giovani Travassos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Giovani Travassos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Giovani Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match, Afonso Nascimento got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tião Simões was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the referee ended the match the ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
