José Ramalho's late challenge caught a ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Váldson Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélio Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. José Ramalho hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match, Gualter Cunha sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Hélio Siqueira showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 25th minute Antônio Carlos da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Augusto Vergílio during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Urbano in the 36th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Hélio Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Eger. 47 minutes into the game, Gualter Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hélio Siqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovani Travassos made a kick off. If Aloísio Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélio Siqueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovani Travassos in the 58th minute. Icoara Football Club were furious when Denílson Arósio was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Giovani Travassos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hélio Siqueira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ reached it. Hélio Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 79th minute, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Váldson Urbano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hélio Siqueira. Hélio Siqueira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Váldson Urbano took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Hélio Siqueira to make any attempt to save it. 95 minutes into the game, Váldson Urbano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hélio Siqueira. Váldson Urbano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When the match was over ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Icoara Football Club throughout the match.
