Sindre Walle started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimitar Berbatov got free with Kostas Periandros in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Dimitar Berbatov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostas Periandros. Pagos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimitar Berbatov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Charalambos Lelopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henning Sæmer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filippos Alexiadis went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jørgen Otteskov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippos Alexiadis in the 26th minute of the match. Charalambos Lelopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Henning Sæmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charalambos Lelopoulos's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolis Nikologiannis in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charalambos Lelopoulos in the 37th minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nordsjælland's zone, Telis Valsaris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Sæmer came out of the goal and Telis Valsaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Telis Valsaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Sæmer having to interfere.

Kostas Periandros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ibrahim Osman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Pagos FC's Charalambos Lelopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henning Sæmer. That made the score 1-2 after 53 minutes of play. After 58 played minutes FC Nordsjælland got a freekick which was hit by Jeppe Tverskov. Kostas Periandros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeppe Tverskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Filippos Alexiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Henning Sæmer made a huge save. Henning Sæmer made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Avraam Maggioros sent off a good shot on target. Jeppe Tverskov kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Fanis Papafanopoulos hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Henning Sæmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippos Alexiadis in the 72nd minute. Henning Sæmer didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Sindre Walle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kostas Periandros having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Gerasimos Maros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Dimitar Berbatov made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kostas Periandros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kostas Periandros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeppe Tverskov in the 86th minute of play. After 88 played minutes FC Nordsjælland got a freekick which was hit by Dimitar Berbatov. Kostas Periandros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitar Berbatov in the 96th minute of the match. The Pagos FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
