The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Neira during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Real Brasília FC - DMZ's Erivaldo Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Neira in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of union española s.a. booed when Real Brasília FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Neira scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Freire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredinho Sampaio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Manuel Neira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nauzet Fontaner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Neira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Erivaldo Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Manuel Neira made the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Neira, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Real Brasília FC - DMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jaume Zegarra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 55th minute, Manuel Neira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erivaldo Freire. The goal made the score 2-2. Manuel Neira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Freire was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Neira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 82 minute of play. Carlos Saúl Quirch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Freire having to make a save. When the match was over union española s.a. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Brasília FC - DMZ throughout the match.
