Hemse RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Gauargi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Dennis Burman sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Rolando Merexildo threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Dennis Burman this time. In the 13th minute, Gara Dryburgh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hannes Hääger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 16 minutes into the match, Hemse RK's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Gauargi came free, but Hannes Hääger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hannes Hääger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hannes Hääger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Gauargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Hemse RK's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Gauargi came free, but Hannes Hääger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Saturnino Ospin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The supporters of PGE FC booed when Hemse RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Vennerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Hemse RK defense, Mauro Odon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hannes Hääger. The Hemse RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hannes Hääger should have stopped the shot. Hemse RK's Hannes Hääger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Gauargi in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Mauro Odon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Bartolo Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PGE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Leoiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Godoi in the 52nd minute of play forced Hemse RK's goalkeeper Hannes Hääger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Gauargi ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgilio Gauargi in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hannes Hääger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Hemse RK's zone, Bartolo Leoiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hannes Hääger came out of the goal and Bartolo Leoiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boris Gustavsson's late challenge caught a PGE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boris Gustavsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Boris Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Mauro Odon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hannes Hääger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Hemse RK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Gil Godoi scored to the left of an out of position Hannes Hääger, making the score, 0-6. Mauro Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Hannes Hääger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgilio Gauargi in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannes Hääger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Odon got free with Hannes Hääger in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Virgilio Gauargi made a precise shot to the right of Hannes Hääger. Hemse RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 86th minute, Gara Dryburgh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, PGE FC's Bartolo Leoiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hannes Hääger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9.
