The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Codrin Aalexoaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mátyás Lisztes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajos Keresztesi charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lajos Keresztesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Szolnoki MÁV getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Lajos Keresztesi hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Eusebiu Boroș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpathian Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebiu Boroș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mátyás Lisztes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Lajos Keresztesi could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Nicodim Arghirescu however easily saved by the left post. Codrin Aalexoaiei kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Codrin Aalexoaiei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpathian Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Codrin Aalexoaiei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Joshua Homme made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Homme in the 51st minute of play forced Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Mátyás Lisztes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Eusebiu Boroș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mátyás Lisztes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codrin Aalexoaiei came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mátyás Lisztes could save by the left post. The supporters of Szolnoki MÁV booed when Carpathian Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Condescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicodim Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Csanád Újvári, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Homme in the 68th minute of play forced Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Mátyás Lisztes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mátyás Lisztes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Homme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Homme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Lisztes having to interfere. In the 89th minute Lajos Keresztesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Lukács Antal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 96 minutes on the clock, Eric Condescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Nicodim Arghirescu had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Csanád Újvári's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Carpathian Wolves's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
