An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Gauargi in the 4th minute of play forced Remedios SC's goalkeeper Jean dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartolo Leoiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Zé Augusto Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Remedios SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PGE FC the free kick. In the 9th minute, Zé Augusto Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chivu Quintana during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Remedios SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chivu Quintana to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Remedios SC's Aloísio Bastos got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Leoiar came free, but Jean dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32nd play minutes Bartolo Leoiar shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Jean dos Santos and just under the crossbar into goal. Bartolo Leoiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean dos Santos having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Leoiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's Chivu Quintana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Merexildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, PGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when 楚庭潮 came free, but Rolando Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celsinho Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Merexildo having to interfere. A collision led to PGE FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Pablo Viviano hit a great ball. Rolando Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Chivu Quintana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Merexildo having to make a save. Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Remedios SC from getting a goal against them. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 楚庭潮 in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Ospin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Remedios SC booed when PGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 75 minutes on the clock, Horácio Maciel commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave PGE FC a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gil Godoi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos. 1-3. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Bartolo Leoiar sped through Remedios SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean dos Santos. Remedios SC's Chivu Quintana got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celsinho Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 倪磊飞 to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in PGE FC's zone, Chivu Quintana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Merexildo came out of the goal and Chivu Quintana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Remedios SC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Leoiar came free, but Jean dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
