In the 3rd minute of the match, Virila Parra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mathys Mora saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mathys Mora made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ermengol Cabrales sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto do Valle came free, but Sagrario Paniagua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermengol Cabrales got free with Mathys Mora in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathys Mora made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Pepe Popeye sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the game, Laurent Cazes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Saubrigues's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Municipal the free kick. In the 24th match minute, FC Saubrigues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurent Cazes to maneuver through the defense. FC Saubrigues's Mathys Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virila Parra in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Camille Roca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Municipal's Ermengol Cabrales slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mathys Mora. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virila Parra in the 30th minute of play forced FC Saubrigues's goalkeeper Mathys Mora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CD Municipal's Virila Parra got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathys Mora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pepe Popeye in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes, Camille Roca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Saubrigues and the CD Municipal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Saubrigues's Camille Roca got a free kick in the 34th minute. FC Saubrigues's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Ermengol Cabrales scored to the left of an out of position Mathys Mora, making the score, 2-0. Prospero Paletta hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st play minute Ermengol Cabrales came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mathys Mora. 3-0. In the 45th match minute, FC Saubrigues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Pierre Bérot to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

If Virila Parra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enginsu Lütfullah came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sagrario Paniagua could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Pepe Popeye managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Pepe Popeye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathys Mora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Virila Parra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathys Mora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Popeye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathys Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Popeye, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 83rd match minute, FC Saubrigues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enginsu Lütfullah to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Augusto do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramón Gayday kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The long shot by Alphonse Keita in the 88th minute really tested Sagrario Paniagua's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jean-Pierre Bérot's late challenge caught a CD Municipal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Pierre Bérot helped the player get up and apologised. CD Municipal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
