The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Eduardas Girčius fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Savage Hippo's protests and gave Eduardas Girčius a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of MKS MŁAWA booed when Savage Hippo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardas Girčius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naglis Jonušas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Brudnicki in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dangiras Rutkus to maneuver through the defense. Naglis Jonušas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Czapski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Oleszak made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Alfredas Klenkys sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 14 in the game by Alfredas Klenkys from a close distance when the talented Roman Oleszak managed to make a qualified save. MKS MŁAWA's players were relieved. Naglis Jonušas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomir Brzonkala in the 16th minute of the match. When Alfredas Klenkys came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Savage Hippo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredas Klenkys couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, MKS MŁAWA's Robert Puzio got a free kick in the 21st minute. Alfredas Klenkys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Roman Oleszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Jotautas Bakštys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Oleszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naglis Jonušas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukasz Brudnicki in the 26th minute of the match. The Savage Hippo fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Savage Hippo's Alfredas Klenkys looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alfredas Klenkys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Roman Oleszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredas Klenkys came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roman Oleszak could save by the left post. In the 43rd minute of the game Vytaras Liaudanskas made a throw-in which Vaclovas Jacinaitis played forward. MKS MŁAWA's Roman Oleszak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dangiras Rutkus in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Robert Puzio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MKS MŁAWA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savage Hippo the free kick. After 46 played minutes MKS MŁAWA got a freekick which was hit by Robert Puzio. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Jotautas Bakštys made the kick off in the second half. Roman Oleszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredas Klenkys in the 55th minute of play. If Radomir Brzonkala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dangiras Rutkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Roman Oleszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Fabian Majusiak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Savage Hippo got a freekick which was hit by Vaclovas Jacinaitis. 84 minutes into the match, Jotautas Bakštys notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of MKS MŁAWA's Roman Oleszak. Roman Oleszak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute Alfredas Klenkys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Oleszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Savage Hippo's Alfredas Klenkys in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MKS MŁAWA's goalie prevented a goal. 93 minutes into the match, MKS MŁAWA's goal looked a bit too open when Dangiras Rutkus came free, but Roman Oleszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th match minute, MKS MŁAWA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kacper Wisniewski to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Algitas Mažeikis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savage Hippo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MKS MŁAWA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Savage Hippo's Algitas Mažeikis got a free kick in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Savage Hippo were the better team. Savage Hippo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
