Claudinei Proença was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 30 played minutes Kroton F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Ciarrocchi. In the 33rd minute, Breguete FC's Sidnei Mineiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Comunardo Della Francesca. Comunardo Della Francesca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Cusumano in the 36th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Claudinei Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Dennis Cusumano notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Breguete FC's Claudinei Proença. Claudinei Proença was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-5 lead.
