The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Otávio Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavol Chmelo having to interfere. Pavol Chmelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Dante in the 7th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Ricardinho Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Olo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Pavol Chmelo made a huge save. Hugo Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pavol Chmelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. Pavol Chmelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Everardo Olo in the 31st minute. Lea FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after FC DNV Bratiskava's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Silvinho Madureira took the corner. Lea FC's Amadeu de Alcântara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pavol Chmelo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hugo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavol Chmelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Otávio Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lea FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otávio Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavol Chmelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everardo Olo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Pavol Chmelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bohuš Dačev made a kick off. FC DNV Bratiskava's Pavol Chmelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Olo in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Lea FC were awarded a corner. Silvinho Madureira went to the cornerflag to take it. Marek Havran hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC DNV Bratiskava's zone, Hugo Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavol Chmelo came out of the goal and Hugo Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bohuš Dačev in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lea FC's goalkeeper Marcel Donatello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Lea FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Andrézinho Mattos hit a great ball. The FC DNV Bratiskava fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when FC DNV Bratiskava's Bohuš Dačev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Olo in the 72nd minute of play forced FC DNV Bratiskava's goalkeeper Pavol Chmelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes FC DNV Bratiskava's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvinho Madureira who took care of the corner kick. FC DNV Bratiskava's Pavol Chmelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Olo in the 74th minute of play. A hard, long distance shot from Claudinei Cunha flew over the goal. Tibor Partil struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Marcel Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC DNV Bratiskava. Pavol Chmelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Dante in the 83rd minute of the match. Stanislav Božok kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Hugo Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavol Chmelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Olo in the 93rd minute of play forced FC DNV Bratiskava's goalkeeper Pavol Chmelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Olo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC DNV Bratiskava had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
