The corner led FC DNV Bratiskava's Tibor Partil to fire away a dangerous shot which Armando Anzolin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 21st minute, Alfredo Fini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Tibor Partil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Anzolin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Margoni in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavol Chmelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Kroton F.C. booed when FC DNV Bratiskava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislav Božok didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavol Chmelo was a little too slow when Ernesto Margoni got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-2.
