The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Van den Inde got free with Mauro Ciceron in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Les Presidents FC's Sergio Van den Inde got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, deportivo madrid's Ismael Artal got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of Les Presidents FC booed when deportivo madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Artal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes deportivo madrid got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Ubelteso. Mauro Ciceron was a little too slow when Sergio Van den Inde got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Sergio Van den Inde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les Presidents FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Van den Inde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Ciceron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. deportivo madrid made a substitution. Godofredo Mannie replaced Casimiro Maju. James Madison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Mannie in the 66th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Godofredo Mannie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Mannie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. James Madison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalmacio Ubelteso kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th minute Sergio Van den Inde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Ciceron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. deportivo madrid's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
