In the 4th minute Viking Lo Russo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto de Souza in the 7th minute of play forced El Golden Volvió!'s goalkeeper Franco Costanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Costanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Veloso in the 9th minute of play. Renatinho de Castro's late challenge caught a El Golden Volvió!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renatinho de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes America Futebol Clube SP got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho de Castro. With a little luck, El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo got control of the ball when Fausto de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute Reynaldo Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Rolado struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gonçalo de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Golden Volvió!. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viking Lo Russo in the 22nd minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Naldo in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, El Golden Volvió!'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Veloso came free, but Franco Costanzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save El Golden Volvió! from getting a goal against them. After 37 minutes El Golden Volvió!'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Agostinho Rossi who took care of the corner kick. America Futebol Clube SP's Agostinho Rossi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franco Costanzo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 41 minutes into the game, Rosendo Naldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gonçalo de Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save El Golden Volvió! from getting a goal against them. Franco Costanzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristóvão Veloso in the 45th minute. Viking Lo Russo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Biaggio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Franco Costanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. America Futebol Clube SP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Agostinho Rossi in the 54th minute. El Golden Volvió!'s Fernandinho Redondo suffered a sore thigh after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 55th minute of the match Renatinho de Castro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Renatinho de Castro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. El Golden Volvió!'s Marcos Orlanda was substituted for Fernandinho Redondo. Renatinho de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Naldo came free, but Gonçalo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Ladio during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, El Golden Volvió! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Ladio to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Franco Costanzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El Golden Volvió!'s zone, Fausto de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal and Fausto de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonçalo de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Naldo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes America Futebol Clube SP's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Viking Lo Russo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Viking Lo Russo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but America Futebol Clube SP's Gonçalo de Amorim did a great save. Gonçalo de Amorim came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by El Golden Volvió!'s Rosendo Naldo. But to his dismay, Rosendo Naldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 84th minute, Lino Mederi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Costanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes El Golden Volvió! got a freekick which was hit by Jesús Blanco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto de Souza in the 94th minute of play forced El Golden Volvió!'s goalkeeper Franco Costanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
